Security matters to all of us, in the UK and around the world. Find out more about the problems with the current approach to national security, and consider our five priorities for change.
Rethinking Security is a network of UK non-governmental organisations, academics and activists working together for a new approach to national and global security.
Rethinking Security aims to stimulate a richer public debate about what security means, and how we can build it better together.
We develop new ideas for policy, and build new alliances to make the case for a security strategy that prioritises:
- global relationships based on cooperation rather than domination;
- a global economy which serves the needs of all, rather than the greed of the few;
- flourishing, inclusive societies where the voices of all are heard and each person’s wellbeing is valued and respected;
- protection of our planet from looming catastrophe and for future generations
We need your involvement and your support to achieve this urgent change.
Please use our resources, join our supporters’ network and follow us on social media.
Do what you can, where you are, to stimulate discussion and debate about security!
